Receiving e-mail spam at wa9vez@yahoo.com originating from http://70.44.77.216/ claiming to be from airfreight-services@dhl-usa.com with zipped virus attachment. Message says 'cancellation of delivery'. They are picking the e-mail addresses of radio amateurs from radio sites as the CC's are of the form <callsigns@domain>.

I happened to notice earlier this evening that every few minutes there was a modest amount of traffic from my desktop machine to this IP address. Dumping the packets in ASCII did the trick as it revealed http traffic to rather non-standard port 8093 on li294-30.members.linode.com (66.228.52.30). The http sessions' "Referrer" field indicated that they were referred to by web pages within the io9.com website. Remembering that I had a couple of pages from this site open in my web browser, I closed the io9.com pages and the traffic to 66.228.52.30 stopped.
