Continuous attempts to brute force SMPT passwords and send mail through my server. Owner of the IP address has been unresponsive with my abuse reports and the attacks continue. Attacking both primary and relay (non-outgoing) servers so possibly they lookup the IP of the MX records and attack those.

The following variations were used: 94.242.237.73 94.242.237.96 94.242.237.115 94.242.237.119 It doesn't appear that this hacker was successful, but we had attempts from 146.0.79.23 at the same time; that one was able to put up a couple files when we received notification that there were suspicious files on this site.

We had multiple Joomla login failures from this IP (apparently a proxy server) for about a week prior to massive attack on the Joomla Admin from thousands of bots. When the attack stopped (after we had to take the server down over a day), this IP reappeared in our Joomla error logs every 54 minutes. We believe that the attack may be being directed by a bot using this proxy server.

The whole range 94.242.237.*** is being used for brute force attacks on WordPress networks. At first just trying 'admin', but now trying other names also. Buyurl.net quote Austrian legislation, suggest they're in UK, have Luxembourg IPs and quote their prices in dollars. So almost certainly a front.
