Complaint by dp :

If your seeing this scan on your PC or mac firewall, that's really bad. It probably means that your directly connecting to your ISP & only protected by the software firewall in your OS. Around here, Comcast & Verizon have started supplying modems with firewalls. If you have multiple ethernet ports you probably have one but it may need to have it's firewall setup. If your modem only has 1 ethernet port then all Internet traffic is going to your PC, bad. Go out now & get a hardware firewall, even one that's less than $100.00 will do. You don't want these bums hacking your PC. Let them waste their time on the firewall. Go to pcflank.com & run there port scanner & exploit tools. If you don't get "stealthed" reports back get help & secure your system! This is only going to get worse in the future - act now!

This ******* tries to hack me once every 25 minutes! luckily my ESET Smart Security 5 has detected and blocked this IP because it tried to "port scan attack". It is concerning this china man can hack all these ports at once and no one has tried to stop him...

Complaint by John Doe :

I had the chinese trying port attacks or scans as well on my laptop from this same IP from 2 different cities now. BTW, the pcflank.com website mentioned by dp has a history of infecting visitors with computer virus; therefore, do not use pcflank.com because pcflank.com will get your computer info and cause problems. dp does give sound advice to use PC behind a firewall, as well as, use a firewall on the PC, both. For example coming off internet connection, via direct connect or via cable modem, etc., use cisco linksys router that will have a network translation address(NAT) firewall making your PC more difficult to see from the internet. Good luck.

DNSBL* - is a list of IP addresses published through the Internet Domain Name Service (DNS) either as a zone file that can be used by DNS server software, or as a live DNS zone that can be queried in real-time. DNSBLs are most often used to publish the addresses of computers or networks linked to spamming; most mail server software can be configured to reject or flag messages which have been sent from a site listed on one or more such lists.

WHOIS** - is a query/response protocol that is widely used for querying databases in order to determine the registrant or assignee of Internet resources, such as a domain name, an IP address block, or an autonomous system number. WHOIS lookups were traditionally performed with a command line interface application, and network administrators predominantly still use this method, but many simplified web-based tools exist. WHOIS services are typically communicated using the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP). Servers listen to requests on the well-known port number 43.

** Approximate Geographic Location - This is NOT the exact geographical location of the person/organization with the given IP address. However, this should still give you a good idea about the area/region where this person/orgranization is located.
