I am sorry everyone. It is a shock to see that there have been so many complaints. I just had comcast reset my IP address. It wasn't me is all I can say. I am a 55 yr old lady and don't mess around causing problems for people. Either my computer is hijacked or something else I do not understand but if you read this, please know that I am very sorry that you have been the victim of some kind of harrassment. I will investigate this further and check back to update this situation. If you could forward e-mails or samples to me, please do. wendy93292@aol.com

For those who have Internet Router rented from Verizon, and that is the Router\'s address. For this rental cable modem setup and admin login for changing control of wireline (RJ-45) and Wireless (802.11g or 54 Mb/s standard.) One must type http://192.168.1.1 into the browser\'s URL space, then one must enter UserID and Password when prompted in order to gain access the control menu. They will warn the administrator to be careful and must know what he/she is doing to the router\'s setting! (One can keep notes with pictures or other screen-save methods, just something went wrong.)
i'm laughing when i see people say 192.168.1.1 is an hack ip. 192.168.X.X is an local ip so all people can have this ip in private network (you pc & phone, router). 192.168.1.1 is in most cases the ip of your router. So herber when you say "192.168.1.1 00-23-48-AA-85-0C 1 ms SAGEM COMMUNICATION" is ip adresse + mac addresse + ping + name of your router. you think your router is a bad guy. Katja you can't locate this ip because all network can have this ip for pc go in the web he go first in the router and have this ip adress and after they have the ip of internet so not an 192.168.X.X or other local ip. SO 192.168.1.1 IS NOT AN IP OF HACKER

- Why Can't I See The Exact Address?
DNSBL* - is a list of IP addresses published through the Internet Domain Name Service (DNS) either as a zone file that can be used by DNS server software, or as a live DNS zone that can be queried in real-time. DNSBLs are most often used to publish the addresses of computers or networks linked to spamming; most mail server software can be configured to reject or flag messages which have been sent from a site listed on one or more such lists.
WHOIS** - is a query/response protocol that is widely used for querying databases in order to determine the registrant or assignee of Internet resources, such as a domain name, an IP address block, or an autonomous system number. WHOIS lookups were traditionally performed with a command line interface application, and network administrators predominantly still use this method, but many simplified web-based tools exist. WHOIS services are typically communicated using the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP). Servers listen to requests on the well-known port number 43.
** Approximate Geographic Location - This is NOT the exact geographical location of the person/organization with the given IP address. However, this should still give you a good idea about the area/region where this person/orgranization is located.
