Iam complaining about a market place Facebook scam that happened on 7/5/2022 I tried to buy a Toyota Tacoma truck 1998 for 800.00 in eBay card's (not a good idea) from a person who said she was in the military and that the truck belonged to her late husband! I fell for it and realized that I got took! Her name was or is brittanyanderson1973@gmail.com this is a scam never got the truck and paid fake eBay people the funds the number was disconnected 2 after making the payments don't fall for this scam I already did deep regret mikedrummer17@gmail.com

Obviously fake: My name is Brittany Anderson ,and I'm emailing you about my 1998 Toyota Tacoma 4×4 with an Fuel Type: Gas engine, 2.7 'Liter , automatic transmission and only 89,600 original miles. . Never had or needed any paint/body work done, garaged keep always, without any mechanical problems, tires and wheels are in great shape as well, electric is working perfectly. The engine runs very good and the automatic transmission shifts perfectly. Has a clean and clear title in my name and there are no liens or loans on it. This truck was used by my husband who died 4 month ago. The price was reduced at $800 because I'm in a hurry to find a buyer. I need to sell the truck quickly, I will be leaving on military duty with my medical team out of the country for a year and do not want to store my truck . Hate to sell it but it's not worth keeping insurance and paying storage fees for a year. If you are interested I can send you pics .

This person is using Ebay Motors as a scam to defraud people out of money. This person is pretending to sell cars for really low amounts, and trying to get you to purchase E-bay Cards to send them money. They provide you a FAKE INVOICE WITH A FAKE # TO CUST SERVICE: 818-660-1229 I WASN'T SCAMMED BECAUSE I INVESTIGATED IMMEDIATELY, I HAVE REPORTED THEM TO SPOOF@EBAY.COM. " BUYERS BEWARE!!!!"

Posted a VW Jetta on facebook uder the account "Simpson's Fitness, Agility, & Speed Camp". Claimed to be posting for his Aunt and gave me that email. I got the same story about how her husband died and is leaving for military. Said she was using Ebay to help sell the car as well. DOn't trust this stuff ever. Block her email and report it as phishing.
This brittanyanderson1973@gmail.com and FAKE eBay support number 818-660-1229 are all a part of one big scam. They attempted to sell me a 1998 Chevy Silverado claiming that "she" was deployed by the army AFTER her husband JUST died 4 months ago and that it was his truck that she wants to get rid of. They will ask you to make the purchase using eBay cards ONLY - DO NOT FALL FOR IT. And once you call the provided eBay number and call their bluff, you will be cursed out and blocked. As if 2020 wasn't bad enough....now this.
