I was threatened by KIP Recovery with them garnishing my wages, & I did apply for a payday loan back 2 years ago. How do I know if this a scam? Can they really garnish my wages

I got this same call though if I had one I filed bankrupt back in 2012 which is when this debt took place apparently, I told them this was in the bankruptcy and that you cannot collect on anything I gave them my file # but when I called back the guy said I told the lady I denied it and it was going to get my wages garnished, I said no you cannot do this as It was included in my bankruptcy. these people are idiots

Received a phone call and an email from these people staring I owe a payday loan debt of $720.00 to a company called Adavance cash. Note, Kip revovery is using a yahoo.com address to conduct email correspondence. Big red flag. I do not have any open payday loans. I can not find any information on the so called "Advance Cash" company that they are claiming I owe the debt to! I have not received any letters via snail mail confirming the debt, and staing who the recovery company is that currently bought the debt! These people are scam artist, frauds, and extortionists!!!
